About Our School
Roenne’s School is a private school that has been serving the community since 1974. Our Pre-School is licensed by the State of California, and certified by the Elementary Department of the Los Angeles Unified School District. We serve children ages two years through Transitional Kindergarten during the traditional calendar school year and two years through Third Grade during the Summer School and Summer Program school calendar.
We are an educational institution that provides child care and continuous educational experiences and activities from 6:00 am. – 6:00pm., Monday through Friday. Children are to wear appropriate school clothing Tuesday through Friday. Mondays are considered “Ooey Gooey Days” when children participate in gardening and painting and wear clothing for messy activities. The school participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) so that we maintain the integrity of serving well-balanced meals and snacks. Roenne’s School children maintain healthy and nutritional eating habits with some of the fare being provided from our school garden. Therefore they are excited about eating what they have grown and learn the importance of good fresh foods.
Roenne’s School mission is to carefully nourish the mental, spiritual and physical growth of each student while challenging each child to realize her/his full potential. We emphasize cognitive, social, emotional, creative, and physical aspects which build on a child’s whole being. Our staff encourages parents to be observant in identifying the areas that require strengthening.
Our program is designed to include academic, social, and physical wellness elements as the fundamental building blocks that will prepare your child to become successful in all their learning experiences from pre-school through college.
